THERE IS A COVER SONG EP

4 cover songs were played the night we recorded our live record… 3 by us, and 1 by Kevin Whelan of the Wrens (he covered one of our songs, and made it 4 to 5 times better. Kind of a jerk move, really.) So think of this as a little addendum to our live record. Below you’ll find both MP3 and AAC versions of the EP, as well as a file of design media, just in case you want some new images for your phone or desktop. Enjoy it everybody!

CAM’S GOING ON TOUR WITH AQUEDUCT, THE POSIES, AND BRENDAN BENSON

posiestour

Our very own Cameron Nicklaus recently became a quadruple threat: record producer, guitarist, dancer, and now, DRUMMER. (Actually, you might not know that Cam was The Pale Pacific’s first drummer… And widely considered the best one.) Just as he finishes a new 7-inch release for BOAT, he will leave town drumming for our good, good friends Aqueduct (on tour with The Posies and Brendan Benson.) Check below for a date near you. We’ll obviously be at the Showbox on December 11th to cheer him on. Come hang out!

8-BITS OF GLORY

This summer, Calgary’s own Andrew Reist posted an 8 bit, Nintendo-style version of Fortune Folds to our Facebook page, and it’s AWESOME. Let’s face it, the world would be a much better place if you could switch to 8-bit every once in a while. (We’re pretty sure our old bass player and cousin Jared Archer does every once in a while.)

So we leave the invitation open: If you can’t sleep one night, play with a Pale Pacific song in Mario Paint, and we’ll post it here!

For reference, here’s our version:
